Shek Borkowski - Head Coach
In six seasons Shek Borkowski led his
teams to 7 finals; winning 4 league and 2 cup titles. He has been named
Coach of the Year twice and has maneged 1st or 2nd place finishes in
every league and cup competition except for three. Borkowski’s record
of success in different leagues and with a range of separate club
hierarchies over a considerable window of time is indicative of the
man's professionalism.
Three league titles, two US Open Cups and seven victories over
national teams have been amassed in his 6 years as FC Indiana head
coach, 2005-2009, including League and Cup ‘double’ in 2005. Renowned
as a tactically astute coach with a rare ability to spot and develop
players from around the world, Mr. Borkowski has had vital input into
all areas affecting FC Indiana teams — from the squad’s diet and
training methods to the design of the new FC Indiana soccer complex.
In 2009/2010 Mr. Borkowski led Russian club Zvezda 2005 to Russian
Supreme League title and round of 16 of the UEFA Women's Chmapions
League.
His calm and measured demeanour is reflected by the style of his teams,
which he encourages to play attacking and attractive soccer. Mr.
Borkowski is the only women's club soccer coach in the world to win
league titles on two continents. His FC Indiana record stands at
101-13-12 with 501 goals scored and 72
against.
In his career Mr. Borkowski has managed 40 national team players from
15 countries, 10 FIFA Women's World Cup participants, including 2011
World Cup winner Mizuho Sakaguchi of Japan.

Christian Castro - Assistant Coach
Christian’s enthusiasm for FC Indiana remains undimmed after
more than 10 years of magnificent service to the Club. The Ecuadorian,
who can be always be seen energetically putting the team through their
paces prior to kick-off, arrived at the Club as a 19 year-old and went
on to make 228 appearances at forward for the FC Indiana men's team,
undoubtedly becoming one of the Club’s greatest players. During this
time he has scored 127 goals.
Christian reached five Open State Cup Finals and three State Amateur
Cup Finals and holds the distinction, along with Eric Castro, of having
been involved as player or coach in all three of FC Indiana’s
'double'-winning seasons.
Before suiting up in FC Indiana colors Christian played in Mexico for
Aguas Calientes and Club Futbol Leon, where he played for Carlos
Reinoso and Lupillo Diaz.
A trusted assistant beside Shek Borkowski on the bench, Christian’s
coaching career at the Club started in 2004.
Christian is fluent in English and Spanish.
Eric Castro - Assistant Coach
From the hotbed of soccer that is South America, where he
played for Curitiba Clube Atletico Paranaense (Brazil) and Barcelona
Sporting Club (Ecuador), Eric moved to USA and captained FC Indiana
men's team during an impressive playing career. After retiring, Eric
moved into coaching and become a crucial member of Shek Borkowski’s
staff. His extensive knowledge of the South American game and deep
technical understanding have undoubtedly helped the head coach in his
numerous successes during his time in Indianapolis.
Eric was known as an uncompromising defender during a playing career
that saw him help FC Indiana win 5 State Open Cups, 3 Amateur Cups,
Indiana Super Leage and NPSL division title.
Eric is fluent in English, Spanish and Portugese.
